In our school it was mandatory that we finish our lunch without wasting it, we were asked to be seated during the break until we finished lunch.
Me and some of my friends don’t normally eat much food, we consume less. So this rule was a troublesome one for us. But there was another girl in our class who had a unique skill, if we took our lunch to her she’d analyse it and let us know if it would finish soon or not.
So when we had lunch most of our friends would finish soon while we would remain in the class with the unfinished lunch. We’d take the lunch box to that girl and she’d place her finger into our lunch (mostly rice), look into the distance and predict, okay you will finish this in 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, and so on.
She was well respected among us for her unique skill and after years passed we finally cracked her secret. Most of us brought rice for lunch, if she saw the bottom of the lunch box in the hole she made when she put her finger into it she predicted it would finish sooner, that was the technique she applied.
Some people are like that in our lives, they come up with magical solutions, those solutions might be simple or small but for time being their solutions work wonders!
Today I am gratefully remembering that friend of mine who solved a key problem for many of us at that time.
