We all have some really special memories of school life. One such memory from my school archives is the way we shared tiny bits of sweetness among our friends inside the classroom.
I used to sit on the centre benches of classrooms, especially in high school, and I often keep candy in my pocket. When the teacher turned towards the board I would break them into tiny little pieces and we’d share it with our friends.
It was risky to pass such sweetness within a class especially when the teachers were quite strict. But we cherished those transactions and when a small candy satisfied maybe 15-20 of our friends at one go, the happiness we experienced from looking at their faces was priceless.
Now we all grown up and fortunate enough to buy whatever kind of candy we want. But I think we delighted in those little bits of sweetness more than the rich delicious candies and chocolates which we can access today.
I think the experiences of life are like that. Experiences as tiny, as sweet as bits and pieces make life whole and content in all possible dimensions.
Today I am gratefully remembering those friends who with me in those days made our childhood an extraordinary one with sweetness.
