I happened to listen to a podcast about procrastination, why people procrastinate and what’s the psychology behind postponing things.
In short, it says that you procrastinate simply because you really don’t want to do something, you really don’t wish to do it, but you are supposed to do it for another reason or purpose. You do it because you get something after doing it and from that you get something else. So this connectivity of actions may bring you results later but the initial steps might be quite boring and not at all appealing.
The whole idea of avoiding procrastination is simple, just do things you really want to do and if you continuously procrastinate about something, then think about why you are doing it and do you really wish to do it, or is there something else that is more interesting than that particular action. It was quite thought-provoking.
Procrastination is a topic discussed by thousands of people hundreds of thousands of times but it’s a hot topic because it’s essential to enhance the quality of our living and the productivity of our life.
Today I am extending my gratitude to the master who shared his wisdom through that podcast.
