Lockdown was the solution widely used across the world during the first wave of the Covid19 pandemic.
It was quite effective in flattening the curve of Covid cases but it broke the backbone of our economy. This time during the second wave, states and countries are trying their best to not go for a lockdown like they did then.
We citizens have a responsibility to contribute towards flattening the curve by strictly following guidelines and being self-accountable.
Today the Chief Minister of the state of Kerala in India advised people to “self lockdown” which I found very wise, sensible, and democratic.
Let’s maintain self lockdown and fight against the virus.
