I have been spending the last couple of weeks at my home with my parents. I have often felt that it’s the ideal place to spend the monsoon 🙂
At night I’m in a room on the first floor which has a window that opens out to our little fruit and vegetable garden in the backyard.
All these nights I’ve had some friends for company. They fly from the backyard in through the window and dance over my walls creating random beautiful patterns. They are nothing but fireflies, our special guests in the monsoon.
Their presence was so nostalgic! What an amazing treat for my eyes and heart! What an illuminating creation of nature!
Today my gratitude goes to the fireflies that take my hand and lead me back to my childhood in the midst of these monsoon nights that echo with the sound of tinkling raindrops…
