I was casually telling my friend about a book I was planning to buy for my next read.
The book was “Numbers Don’t Lie” by the Canadian economic analyst and author Vaclav Smil.
After 3 days, surprisingly, my friend bought that book for me 🙂
This book is indeed a really good read. It reflects current world scenarios. As its subtitle says – “71 things to help us understand the modern world”.
It discusses a wide range of topics from energy, environment, technology, transportation, food, and agriculture, to happiness, and the new world order.
In fact, I noticed this book recently when I watched a video of Bill Gates talking about it.
My gratitude to my friend who bought me this amazing book 🙂
(Another interesting fact is that when my friend was in the queue to pay the bill for the book at the book shop, my friend’s sister happened to come there and she actually paid for this book.
See the beauty of life – who recommended it, who desired to buy it, who actually bought it, but who really paid for it!😃)
