I was reading a note on enhancing our neural functional ability as a human. Something which helps us to become more calm, mindful, decisive and into supreme learner mode.
We know that our brain functions as two hemispheres and our right part of the body is controlled by the left hemisphere and vice versa.
On a normal day, either of these hemispheres would be dominant at certain times and they switch back and forth.
But when both brain hemispheres work in harmony, we exhibit a more superior characteristic of neural functions.
Simple physical actions could bring us that harmony between brain hemispheres. Just sitting for 3-4 with your arms and legs crossed would be sufficient to bring that coordination of the emotional and logical components represented by both the hemispheres.
Such activities are called “brain gym” 🙂
I observe that this harmony of hemispheres is exactly what’s mentioned in Indian philosophy as “Samadhi”, which literally means a balanced intelligent state (logical and emotional).
The posture of namaste (holding both the hands together) itself is a very simple brain gym technique 🙂
My gratitude to the master who shared this note with me.
