Lee Kuan Yew, popularly known as LKY, is the founding father of modern Singapore. One of the smallest but most developed economies in Asia.
British colonialism followed by Japanese invasion – the first half of the 20th century wasn’t that incredible for a tiny nation like Singapore which has no natural resource to export.
Under the leadership of Lee and his vision of the economic and social well being of its people, Singapore later transformed into a global financial hub and the safest, most prosperous and business-friendly country to live in Asia.
LKY is one of my favourite world leaders who transformed a tiny island nation to a global spot of quality.
After Tokyo, Singapore city is the most beautiful city I have ever visited in Asia 🙂
Today is the national day of Singapore, which made me remember LKY. My gratitude to him for triggering many motivating ideas in me.
