Over 3 years back, I had an executive assistant. He performed extremely well in the interview, which made me choose him to be my EA. He told me that he likes business development and strategy, especially in the media and entertainment industry which made him choose that.
An EA must be very flexible, especially when he’s supporting a startup entrepreneur. He was doing good and was trying his best to sync with the way I work, but I found him not satisfied with his job somewhere deeper inside.
I asked him about it multiple times but he said he was satisfied. His probation period was 3 months and I asked him to leave the job before he completed a month.
I felt like he was searching for something else and asked him to look inside and chase what he truly wants.
After 3 years I happened to notice his Instagram account and I was so happy that he finally found his path!
His account was full of dances, martial arts, his workouts in the gym, and some photoshoots! Most interestingly, his profile said “Fashion Model”.
When I look back I feel so grateful for the decision I made that day asking him to leave that job and find his true path. That day he looked sad but now his pics are sparkling with cheerfulness and joy!
