Our video content (CAT Productions) has been the spear edge of some successful fundraising campaigns for startups in India and abroad in the last 5-6 years. The other day a startup co-founder pinged me to discuss the fundraising campaign he’s planning.
Actually, this particular startup and their product is mind-blowing. They create shoes and footwear from waste plastic bottles and recycled shoes. Like any other product, sustainable footwear also has great significance in the current global scenario.
The footwear industry produces about 24 billion pairs of shoes for nearly 7.8 billion people in the world a year! And about 400 million pairs are discarded every year! Which creates mountains of footwear waste. On the other hand, about 4.5 trillion plastic bottles have been produced in the world in the last 10 years!
The numbers are so fearful and I genuinely felt like the purpose and vision of this startup is so divine!
