I’ve often felt that farming is among the most significant exercises to practice our patience and perseverance.
When I was a child I lived at my ancestral home and where we had paddy fields out in the front. Then I felt like having my own private paddy area (maybe a couple of square feet) and started sowing rice seeds. I watered it daily but it didn’t grow. And later one of my uncles found that I used to pull them out almost every day to check whether they had grown roots or not. There he taught me the lesson of patience for the first time 🙂
We have to farm everything well. Farming has a broad spectrum of possibilities – from farming relationships to farming education to farming wealth!
Every abundant reaping season is the result of the effort we put into farming it, knowingly or not.
Let’s be farmers and farm some great seeds for the life we want.
My gratitude to the magical quality of sensible patience in all of us which is crucial for farming. 🙂
