I was listing to a master communicator today and was enthralled by the scope and vast possibilities of the magical art of communication.
Later in the evening an old acquaintance of mine who was my apartment neighbour pinged me and asked me whether I could share the contact of a deep cleaning service guy.
I found it an opportunity to try something a little different.
To pass on a message to the deep cleaning guy, usually, I might have framed it like, “Hello, a friend of mine asked me for your contact, shall I connect you?”
This time I slightly altered the text and I sent, “Hey, I got a business for you in Kakkanad.” He asked me to share his contact and said thank you.
After 10 minutes I got a call from his assistant asking whether I use Google Pay on the same mobile number. I said yes and asked why?!
That guy said, “Sir, we give a commission to people who give us business so should I transfer the amount via Google Pay?”
I laughed out for a second and told him yes, I did have Google Pay linked to the number. He said thanks and hung up!
It’s beautiful, right?! The magic of communication!
Today my gratitude goes to the master communicator who literally triggered me, doing this experiment 🙂
