One of my favourite topics is the art of execution. I believe every great result we see in personal and professional life, in individuals, organizations, and governments, every stunning result is the result of amazing execution. How people design, prioritize and execute things makes the world what we experience today.
Executing things means prioritizing and scheduling little works/tasks from time to time towards a common goal and we experience the art of execution in the big picture. In this context, one of the finest perspectives I have recently noticed is from a famous life coach in the United States. He said that there’s a difference between should and must.
We know there are many things that we should do to drive our ship of life to the destination we manifest and we categorize those things under the “should” category because we know that we should do that.
But what he says is that we should move some things to another category called “must” where we don’t have an option but to do it. The more things we move from should to must, the greater the sense of visibility of things happening the way we want in the direction of the destination towards which we are navigating the ship of our life.
Today I am extending my gratitude to the fantastic life coach who shared this gem of thought with the world.
