I have always admired precise, legitimate, wise, compassionate, rational decision-making. Because ultimately the decisions we take in our lives from time to time craft our destiny.
Recently I happened to have a conversation with a friend of mine on the same topic. What we arrived at in the conversation is this – when we have multiple options, or when we have to pick one from two totally different choices which may contradict each other, sometimes we feel like both of them are right in their own regard but we can pick only one, we cannot pick both choices.
In our lives, when we make a decision and when we analyse choices, we understand that some choices make us a divine person, a glorified one, but some make us real, raw and human.
I’ve always had a tendency to ignore the human being’s drive-in me over the glorified being’s when it comes to decision making.
What I’ve often observed is that the kind of decision influenced by the glorified persona might be fantastic, but once such a decision is taken we won’t be comfortable with it, it literally makes us unhappy. On the other hand, when we start acknowledging the human being in us, the decision made might be quite ordinary, it may not be a glorified decision but it brings peace and contentedness.
So I recommend always acknowledging the human in us rather than chasing glory.
Today I am extending my gratitude to the friend with whom I had this conversation and the situation which made me go through this thought process and help me arrive at this fantastic conclusion.
