I used to cut my hair and set my beard at my friend’s salon where I have a hairstylist from Darjeeling.
When the COVID pandemic started he went home and couldn’t come back and I had to depend on other people at the salon.
I tried different people, later different salons, but no one could meet my expectations and I was not at all satisfied. But I have to set my beard and get a haircut so I was literally adjusting with different people.
This evening when I went to the salon he was there, back from home. He did his job really well like before and I was extremely satisfied.
When I was about to leave the salon, my friend who’s the owner was not there, she’d gone out, so it was he who collected cash from the counter. While he did that he said, “Sir, I have to tell you something.” I asked him what and he said, “This morning actually without any particular reason I just thought about you and I am so happy that I surprisingly met you.” He told me this as I collected my change and when I came out of the salon I felt really happy, for no particular reason, but I was so happy.
Being happy without many reasons but just like that. It’s so nice to know that some people remember us, in some people’s heart and mind like a bubble we pop up sometimes for no reason.
Today I am extending my gratitude to the Darjeeling boy who made my evening a great one.
