One of the coolest transformations I’ve noticed in restaurants these days amidst Covid-19 is that hard copies of food menus have been completely replaced with digital ones. Most restaurants have started placing QR codes on their tables which can be used to easily scan and browse the menus.
It may look very simple but I personally felt that it’s a very useful and powerful way of handling requirements.
Everybody who has a smartphone gets a personal menu on their phone and they can order and manage things, which is made possible because of QR codes. It was in 1994 that QR code systems originated in Japan. I feel I should thank the innovators of QR codes who are the ultimate reason for such a solution.
I am extending my gratitude to the founders of the QR code today.
