One of the finest perspectives of eastern philosophy which I find quite compelling is the idea of being a custodian. I think the awareness and idea of being a custodian resolves almost every problem and challenge of human encounters in life.
Whatever we have acquired, whatever we have with us is ours for a very specific span of time. Before that it was something else and after us also it will go to someone else.
So all wars, conflicts, rat races, unhealthy competition, crime, guilt, greed, and envy – all these negative emotions emerge within a person when that person ignorantly feels that they or someone else possesses something forever but nobody does, ultimately such feelings will burn us or bury us.
We are not carrying anything, we haven’t carried anything, and we won’t be carrying anything forever.
Today I felt like I should express my gratitude to this wonderful perspective of eastern philosophy.
