Admiral William McRaven is one of the greatest military strategists in the history of modern world warfare, he is a former United States Navy admiral.
His most famous operation was the annihilation of Osama Bin Laden in the year 2011. After he retired from the navy he wrote the book ” Make Your Bed”. In the book he shares how tiny little things and habits helped shape his personal and professional life over the years.
The first and simplest habit he shares is making your bed as soon you wake up in the morning. The very first thing you should do is make your bed in the first two minutes itself.
You get your first sense of accomplishment for the day, your first task is done. This very first sense of accomplishment brings positivity and confidence in us to chase the rest of the tasks in the day ahead. Similarly, he shares a lot of simple but very sensible thoughts with a deep sense of wisdom in the book.
Today I am gratefully remembering Admiral McRaven for all the great, truly inspiring things he has done. To quote him, “Make your bed, and change the world.”
