day45 – Aankhein teri

October 16, 2020August 8, 2021 by Amarnath

In this world of, lots of social media interferences, people, especially youngsters, experience different sorts of sleeping disorders.I have found that people find many ways to bypass it.

Some people do hard, physical activities to make their body tired and get sleep, some people use substances or alcohol, some use medicines. Many people have many ways, and I have got a wonderful, a beautifully simple way to get sleep.

It’s a song called “Aankhein teri” from a Hindi movie called “Anwar” which was released in 2007. I started listening to this song when I was in college. Initially, I did not know which movie it was from or what the song meant, I don’t know what magic it does but when I play the song, which is 6 minutes 4 seconds long, I fall asleep before it ends.

Whenever I have trouble sleeping I pick this song and it works. I don’t know the magic but I don’t want to dig deeper either because I don’t want to kill the beauty of this mystery. I simply play it and it’s beautiful.

The lyrics say, “Aankhein teri, kitni haseen/Ki inka aashiq, main ban gaya hoon/Mujhko basa le, inme tu/Ishq hai..” (Your eyes are so beautiful/That I have become their lover/Let me be in your eyes forever/This is love) – such a beautiful song, such beautiful lines.

Today I am gratefully remembering this song which is a wonderful tool for me. You can also share such beautiful songs that help you fall asleep.
