day4 – Forgiveness

September 5, 2020August 8, 2021 by Amarnath

The state of being ready or emotionally evolved enough to ask for forgiveness or to give it – that is what I am grateful for today. This is quite uncommon in other animals on this planet. Human states like love or affection are also shared by other living creatures, but the idea of forgiveness is unique to us. That’s what sets it apart and makes it almost a divine power.

The process of forgiving or asking for forgiveness is a purifying one. It’s an extremely powerful weapon, we can end age-old conflicts with the language of forgiveness. It is also an amazing tool that can make abolishing one’s own ego as easy as plucking a flower. We live fleeting lives, and make many mistakes within these lives. Why then must we hesitate to ask for forgiveness for these mistakes? If you have committed a mistake, you are taking responsibility for your own actions when you admit it, and that’s a powerful gesture that can only make you stronger.

I am sure while reading this there will be some faces that come to mind, people you felt like asking for forgiveness but you ignored for whatever reason, or other faces you feel you could forgive but are reluctant to. We have an opportunity today, so let’s forgive and ask for forgiveness from those people.
